Liqueurs have alcohol, for sure, but unlike other spirit types, liqueur is composed of additional flavorings like sugar, fruits, herbs, and spices. Alone, you’ll find liqueurs typically served with a dessert, or as a dessert of its own. More often, however, they are utilized in all sorts of cocktails. Think triple sec and margaritas, and that’s just one example! Liqueurs can be fruity but also creamy like Baileys and other irish creams.
