Tequila is a type of liquor that requires no introduction, but we’ll give ya one anyway. Its made with the blue agave plant. There’s three types (Mezcal is different): Blanco, Reposado, and Añejo. Blanco (also known as white, plata, or silver) is unaged and instead bottled and stored immediately. Reposado or “rested” is aged for a minimum of two months. Añejo, is aged for at least a year and Extra Añejo is aged for a minimum of three years. The aging process occurs in oak barrels and allows for much more challenging and exciting tastes and flavors.
